Should I take a cruise with my family with all the problems lately with people missing/dying on cruises? | |
Answers:
1You shouldn't worry about these things. The news reports mostly only bad because that is what people listen to. I have been on so many cruises and I've never had a problem. The main issue is that a lot of people go on cruises and get really, really drunk and then they aren't able comprehend and think properly. This will cause a terrible situation whether or not you are on a cruise.
When you are on board you just need to use common sense. Try to limit the drinking if you plan to drink and just know what is smart and what isn't very smart to do and you will be fine. You cannot go on a cruise and think that you are in paradise and don't have to worry about bad stuff happening, because it can if you aren't paying attention. But if you use caution and common sense everything will be fine.
The best thing I can recommend is staying away from lines like Carnival where partying is the main thing on a lot of the passengers itenary. If you have kids Disney is a great line. I go on them all the time. While you do see people drinking, it is very limited and most of the time only in the bars, sometimes on the pool decks. But it is a great line and very safe for your family.
Hope this helps!
